About Becky
Welcome
I am Becky Fleetwood, the third of six children and grew up as part of the ‘baby boomer’ generation in the late 1950s and 60s in Birmingham, UK.

I met my engineering hubby, Julian, when studying Sociology at the University of Bath, a mix that was always going to make for an interesting life! We have lived in Stockport (North-West, UK) for over thirty years, bringing up our four children and now have six granddaughters to add to the collection (I'm thinking - lioness team?).

I have worked as a waitress, barmaid, dinner lady, secretary, exams officer and school timetabler and also ran a cub pack. I still run a toddler group at my church and sing and dance whenever I can. Life has always been at breakneck speed….

My love of writing started when I was only eight, the consequence of winning a lot of chocolate in a Cadburys competition “the life story of a Cocoa Bean”.
Bitten by fantasy stories as a student (I stopped going to lectures in order to finish the “Dragonflight” series by Anne McCaffrey) I wanted to write a book in a similar genre with a strong heroine, someone who was intelligent and analytical and did not see the world in black and white. Chroma was born from this.
Published Books: The Chroma Trilogy: Imogen's Secret / Imogen's Journey / Imogen's Destiny all on Amazon and available as a kindle boxset as The Chroma Series. If you do read the Chroma books, please consider leaving a review (long or short) on Amazon and/or Goodreads - they make all the difference to authors and bring the books forward on those virtual shelves. Thank you.
What am I working on now? Something completely different - a contemporary women’s fiction. Dancing Fools and all that Jazz is out looking for a publisher so watch this space.
